Today, we would like to introduce Barbara. She has been part of the VINN team since 2013 and plays an essential role for the company when it comes to direct customer contact.
Hello Barbara, please introduce yourself to our readers and customers in a few sentences.
My name is Barbara, I was born in Munich and I lived and worked there for a considerable amount of time. Since 2014 I have been living in the beautiful Lower Bavaria. I am 38 years old and single.
What are your duties at VINN?
At VINN, my task with Key Account Management. I am responsible for well-known hotel companies such as Marriott, Radisson, Hilton, Interconti, and some others. To be a bit more precise, I respond to enquiries of our existing customers, write proposals for new projects and maintain close contact persons at the different hotel chains to keep upcoming projects in focus.
In addition, I am always making sure that the current cooperation is running smoothly and that it is constantly improved. And that happens regardless of the country where a certain project is to take place.
The opportunity to travel often and work independently, the versatility and the fact that there is always the feeling of novelty to it, is what fascinates me about my job at VINN. My own flexibility and empathic nature are invaluable to my job. Previously, my position was Sales Manager for the area Germany/Austria/Benelux.
How did you end up at VINN and what did you do before?
I was contacted by a headhunter in 2013 who offered me a job at Otrum. Before that, I worked for a global electronics company and, for over five years, as Sales & Conference Manager for a telecommunications and network provider based in Switzerland.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I like photography, going to the gym, riding a racing bike and spending time with friends and family. Travelling as well, that‘s not only at the top of my list when it comes to my job. Most of the time, I‘m on the road some way or another and I love it.
Do you have a motto in life or an inspirational saying you would like to share?
“Never be afraid to do something new“ – that doesn‘t only resonate within me when it comes to my private life but also my professional environment.
And: “What will you say when you look back in your life: I wish I had or I am glad I did?“
